1960s IBM Clock – Design Icon

1960s IBM Clock from Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co on Vimeo.
Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co. partnered with IBM to exclusively produce their iconic 1960s standard issue wall clock. The clock is a faithful reproduction of the classic IBM clocks found in offices, warehouses and schools during the mid-20th century. Hand assembled in Schoolhouse Electric’s Portland, Oregon Factory, it is constructed with a USA made spun steel case, domed glass lens, and the original graphic hands and faceplate design. Operated by a Quartz movement with a red, continuous sweep second hand.

Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone

Customize Your Perfect Watch. It’s as Easy as Downloading an App.
Pebble is the first watch built for the 21st century. It’s infinitely customizable, with beautiful downloadable watchfaces and useful internet-connected apps. Pebble connects to iPhone and Android smartphones using Bluetooth, alerting you with a silent vibration to incoming calls, emails and messages. While designing Pebble, we strove to create a minimalist yet fashionable product that seamlessly blends into everyday life.
Customise with Apps
Apps bring Pebble to life. We’re building some amazing apps for Pebble. Cyclists can use Pebble as a bike computer, accessing the GPS on your smartphone to display speed, distance and pace data. Runners get a similar set of data displayed on their wrist. Use the music control app to play, pause or skip tracks on your phone with the touch of a button. If you’re a golfer, feel free to bring Pebble onto the course. We’re working with Freecaddie to create a great golf rangefinder app for Pebble that works on over 25,000 courses world-wide. Instead of using your phone, view your current distance to the green right on your wrist. These apps will be the first, with more in the works!

Sky Designer Boxes

Ten years of Sky+
Ten years ago Sky+ launched, changing the way we watch television forever. Sky continues to innovate and Sky+ is now used over a billion times a month to give more control, choice and freedom over the TV we all love to watch.
To celebrate this landmark, this Christmas Sky has brought together the UK’s most creative and ground-breaking designers to create a unique collection of ten limited-edition Sky+HD 1TB boxes.
The designers are known for revolutionising the worlds of fashion, interiors, fabric and jewellery, and share with Sky a passion for pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Sky+HD
These stylish, limited-edition Sky+HD 1TB boxes not only look great, but under the lid they are hugely powerful, with all the features you need to enjoy the TV you love. You can record your favourite programmes and series at the touch of a button, and pause live TV and come back to it later. If two shows are on at the same time, you can record them both, and whole series too with Series Link.
If you’re out and about a lot, just set your Sky+ box to record from your smartphone or online, so you never need to miss a thing. Sky+ also brings you your favourite shows in stunning high definition, hundreds of on demand movies (for customers with dual movies and Anytime+) and boxsets all ready to watch when you are.
And with the Sky+HD 1TB box you get a huge one terabyte of personal storage for all your favourite shows, whether that’s the latest movies, sport or entertainment. So that’s 240 hours of HD or a huge 740 hours of SD programmes.
Sky+. So much more than just a box.

Dexter Intro – Saul Bass Style

The poster series that I created for Dexter was inspired by mid-century modern design and particularly the work of Saul Bass — who developed both static graphics as well as animated title sequences. I collaborated with my friends at Fashion Buddha to create an alternative title sequence for Dexter using the artwork that I developed for the posters. This is what I imagine the Dexter title sequence might look like if the show had aired in the 60′s.
You can see the posters here: Sho.com/tymattson
I can’t wait for the season premiere on 10/2!
