Microsoft debuted the first television ad for its Surface tablet on Monday, ahead of the company's Oct. 26 launch.
Entitled “The Surface Movement,” it focuses on the device's magnetic, easily attachable keyboard as well as its kickstand, which makes a clicking sound. Software features are not featured prominently in the ad, which is an impressive display of dance, movement and acrobatics.
The Surface, originally unveiled in this June, is Microsoft's first foray into the tablet market, primarily envisioned as a vehicle for driving Windows 8 adoption.
Starting at $199, it's a 10.6-inch device that comes in two versions: one running Windows RT and the other running Windows 8 Pro.
