A Service to Celebrate the Life of
Marjorie Wright (née King)
05/11/1927 to 06/04/2013
at Eltham Crematorium
on Friday 03 May 2013 at 12:30
conducted by Mr Denis Cobell
Sunset and evening star,
Sing no sad songs for me,
Let there be no moaning at the bar,
When I put out to sea.
NB: As some will remember, this was Nana's favorite quote if the subject of her death came up!
However I discovered it is actually a mixture of 2 poems – ‘Crossing the Bar' by Alfred Lord Tennyson and ‘When I am dead, my dearest' by Christina Rossetti. So I acknowledge both with apologies!
A final toast:
So here's to Marjorie,
Who's like her?
Damn few!
