"I live in the English countryside" by Luke Cotton

“I live in the English countryside and work as an agronomist, so I'm always outdoors in fields,” says Luke Cotton (@takemeonacruise), whose feed is filled with foggy landscapes. Capturing fog is an art form, and Luke provided these tips for those who want try their hand at fog photography: “ dominate the where I live, and I find myself constantly scouting out new solo trees or perspectives. I like vanishing points so make the most of what lanes, tracks, fences or hedges can add. I try to shoot at golden hour as it adds to the landscape. I'm regularly looking for signs of mist or fog hopefully combined with some sun. I also track the time of and sunset. The at is my favorite, but you need to be up early to make the most of it.” “I tend to use the + app for the stabilizer function. I often edit in VSCO, but for the subtle light at dawn I just tweak the photo a little in Afterlight. I try and crop to the rule of thirds but sometimes just go with feel.” To see more from the foggy English countryside, follow @takemeonacruise. by instagram
