The new plans come two years after Tesco’s departure from the town centre.
Plans for 100 new flats above the old Tesco’s Sevenoaks site have been unveiled.
The ambitious scheme for the prime High Street spot includes the demolition of the existing building and its replacement with a mixed-use £30 million development – up to six storeys in height.
As well as the flats, property developer Freshwater hopes to include 8,000 square feet of shopping space.
The new plans come a year after planning bosses at Sevenoaks District Council gave the go-ahead to convert the existing building into 16 apartments and two years after Tesco’s closure.
