Live Augmented Reality for National Geographic / UPC from Appshaker Ltd on Vimeo.
Appshaker recently launched a unique way for people to interact with the amazing world of National Geographic's content from around the globe.
Using the principles of augmented reality, people could immerse themselves in different scenes such as dolphins, leopards, the space landings, dinosaurs and more.
1000s of people interacted with the National Geographic brand in the process as it toured Hungary, with 1000s more people sharing snapshots and video on Facebook as a result.

For the launch for National Geographic and UPC, we built a unique, large scale way of immersing people in some of the most amazing scenes from National Geographic's extensive archive. It allowed us to place people right inside the content, allowing people to see themselves next to the content. In short we built 5 broadcast quality 3D scenes of: leopards, astronaut, dolphin, storms and dinosaurs. We had a huge reaction when launched last week, with tens of thousands of people interacting and 1000s more sharing pics and vids on Facebook. The event is currently running in Hungary, with three 5 day deployments.
