The analogue TV signal in Northern Ireland has been switched off, completing the UK's transition to digital broadcasting.
The Olympic gold medallist Dame Mary Peters turned off the last of the old style signals just before midnight, ending a TV era lasting over 70 years.

Those watching on analogue had their signal cut off after the old 1980's vintage BBC 2 swiped away to the left for the final time, also bringing an end to Ceefax on BBC 2.
