The park could be a huge boost for tourism in Kent but nobody knows when it could finally open its doors
The people of Kent reacted with excitement when it was announced Kent's answer to Disneyland could be opening its doors in Dartford .
Paramount Park was first announced in 2012, and in 2017 the company behind the project earmarked a former landfill site on the Swanscombe Peninsula between Gravesend and Dartford, for the huge attraction.
It was hoped the development could bring 50,000 tourists to Kent every day.
But sadly the development of this huge park has not been smooth sailing, with a number of ups and downs leaving us confused as to when exactly London Paramount could open its doors.
Its opening date has been pushed back multiple times in the last six years.
KentLive has taken a trip back through the archives to reveal the history of the exciting development – now known as The London Resort – and try to figure out when it will actually open.
