As London 2012 is aiming for all spectators to travel to events by public transport, the transport arrangements for accessing Brands Hatch and areas around the venue will be different.
Rail services to and from Sevenoaks rail station may be busy with spectators before the start and at the end of sessions. If possible, the times to avoid travelling are 8.30-10.30am, 1-3pm and 7-9pm.
Before travelling, make sure you understand all of your options and plan ahead.
For the safety of athletes and spectators, there will be road restrictions and closures in the area hours before events begin until a few hours after events finish. This will affect roads in and around the area.
On Paralympic Road Cycling event days, driving in the area may be affected. If you have to drive, try to avoid the busiest periods and make sure you plan your travel in advance.
There will be limited public car parking at Brands Hatch for ticketed spectators, so local access and parking measures will be in place around Games venues. This will help to provide a safe and secure environment around the venues and help keep traffic moving for local residents and businesses, so they can carry on with their day-to-day activities. Information will be available from London 2012 in advance of the Games.
Shuttle buses will run from Sevenoaks station to Brands Hatch, which may affect roads and traffic in the area.
If you have to drive during the Games, make sure you plan ahead and understand the road and parking restrictions in place.
